Midnight in Jubilation is an urban horror tabletop roleplaying game designed for solo journalling. You play as the newest overnight radio presenter in a small, strange town called Jubilation where you will broadcast strange signals, take twisted calls, and question how much longer you can stay alive. Midnight in Jubilation is perfect for those who prefer tales of a dark descent over a happily ever after.

Description

A town map from an overhead perspective, at enough distance that no houses are visible. Only main streets and outlines of occupied land. Sixteen locations are highlighted with numbers in dark squares. To the side is text that reads: "Welcome to Jubilation, everywhere/nowhere, population 2,500." Below which are three check boxes with the text: "12+ Locations, 18+ Unique NPCs, Horrific Threats and Bizarre Encounters". In the bottom right corner is an image of a snarling person's face looming over a microphone as a wolf's head splits from the top of their skull. A rough speech bubble from their humanoid mouth reads: "Plus scraps alluding to the fate of your predecessor."

Welcome to Jubilation

A small town that tourists rarely visit and locals rarely leave. A town full of secrets and monsters. A town hungering for a new overnight radio presenter.

You were desperate enough to accept the offer without asking too many questions. Now you’re in Jubilation, broadcasting to a sleepless audience that all but triples in size once the sun goes down and mysteriously diminishes again when it rises.

You’ll be taking unsettling calls at the Radio Station, helping to decide what makes up the nightly broadcast, while attempting to survive for as long as possible.

If you’re lucky, you might even live long enough to find out what happened to Jubilation’s last overnight presenter.

A grungy black background, with white streaks, over which has been layered distorted black text. A black moon with a grinning maw looms over it. The text reads: "Good evening, Night Stalkers and Sleep Talkers, you're listening to Jubilation Radio. We are here and so are you."

What’s the game about?

Midnight in Jubilation is an urban horror roleplaying game (RPG) designed for solo journalling. This 116-page, A5 PDF features extensive narrative guides for playing scenes at the Radio Station and exploring the town.

This includes over a dozen different locations, more than eighteen unique non-player characters to interact with, threats to be faced, and other horrific or bizarre encounters. As well as history handouts to unravel the cruel fate of your predecessor, and additional lore handouts that were unlocked when it was successfully crowdfunded on BackerKit in Pocketopia 2026.

Are you ready to become the next victim—that is, the voice of Jubilation Radio?

A camera, an esoteric sigil, a blank notebook and pen, and an open laptop with a strange image displayed on the screen. Over the top is text that reads: "If you don't leave anything behind when you die, how can you be sure you were even truly alive?"

Proudly Human Made!

An artistic rendering of a hand in black. Between the thumb and index finger there is a swirl that extends to the middle of the palm which has not been filled in. There is also a similar curving line near the base of the hand, on the pinkie-finger side, that stops in the middle of the palm below the swirl.

This game is 100% Human Made. No AI was used in any stage of the writing, layout, or broader game design process.
